Students will have a short presentation to show their direction of thesis writing. The instructor will invite domestic\/international scholars to present their work upon demand.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wpb_content_element wpb_text_column\">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<h3>\u00a0<\/h3>\n<h5><strong>Artificial Intelligence (Fall semester in the first year of master\u2019s program: 3 credits)<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>This course will give a brief history of development of Artificial Intelligence (AI). We will cover basic principles and methods of AI, including machine learning, deep learning, data science, natural language processing, and computer vision and their applications.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Data Science (Spring semester in the first year of master\u2019s program: 3 credits)<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Data science spans multiple fields, including statistics, scientific method, artificial intelligence (AI), and data analysis, with the aim of discovering value from data.
